With a fellowship from the Aaron Siskind
Foundation, I was able to purchase a view camera and move
up to the 8x10 format. The movements on the view camera allow
me to radically change and control the focus, depth of field,
and perspective of each photograph. In addition the large negative
captures all the minute details and subtle colors I am
experiencing in the field. I continue to explore the region
in which I live and find this format perfectly suited to
my deepening, personal sense of color, atmosphere, and feelings
about the current landscape.
